And made a round cushion with it. But this mandala can be used in many more different ways: as a trivet, wall hanging, applique for a fabric pillowcover, hot pad, chair pad and other. It contains step by step full written instructions in English using standard crochet abbreviations and US terms (stitch guide is given in the pattern). It also contains lots of pictures explaining all the tricky and difficult places. **Crochet level: Intermediate (front post stitches are used in this pattern). **The size of finished mandala depends on the yarn and hook you use. My mandala is approx. 39 cm (15 1/2 inches) lin diametr. **Materials: Yarn in 6 colors. I used SofFun by Scheepjes, crochet hook 4mm (G) or the size that will give an acceptable gauge (you may also need to change to a smaller hook in the middle of the mandala to prevent it from curling), scissors, tapestry needle to weave the ends in, zip, ready pillow form.
